Doctor's Kit

Personally, this is one of my favourites and is a huge hit with the parents!! You do need to have a few unusual materials, but most can be found in a First Aid Kit.

Age Group: 3 years (with help) to 8 years
Estimated Time: Under 30 minutes
Messiness: Low

Materials:
  • 3 A4 pieces of red cardboard paper
  • Paper plate
  • Surgical glove
  • Plaster
  • 2 ear buds
  • Tongue depressor
  • Cotton wool ball
  • Ice-cream stick
  • Piece of gauze
  • White craft glue
  • Red kokie
  • Black kokie
  • Cellotape

Method:
  1. Cellotape 2 pieces of red card together on one side so that it can be folded into a case.
  2. Cut out 2 semi-circles from the remaining piece of card for the handles as well as 2 strips to create a cross.
  3. Cut out the inner of the paper plate and stick the strips of red card onto it and then stick the circle onto the outside of one side of the card.
  4. Glue the handles onto the inside of each side of the bag.
  5. To make the thermometre, colour about a quarter of the ice-cream stick red with the red kokie, then draw black lines all the way up the ice-cream stick to make the temperature points.
  6. Glue all the other materials onto the inside of the bag with white craft glue.
  7. A trick to fit the glove in, is to glue it in half first and then glue it onto the card. Glue each finger into place.
