Paper Plate Hippo

Materials:

• 2 paper plates
• Grey poster paint
• Pink poster paint
• Scissors
• White craft glue
• 2 googly eyes
• 2 pieces of white cardboard paper
• Black kokie

Method:

1. Paint the underside of both paper plates grey and leave to dry.
2. Paint one of the white cards grey and also leave to dry.
3. Once the paper plates have dried entirely, turn one over and paint it pink. 
4. Leave to dry.
5. From the grey card, cut out to ears and 2 nostrils.
6. From the white card, cut out 4 teeth.
7. Cut the edges of the paper plates off to create rectangle shapes, with the short sides still being curved and the long sides being straight.
8. Fold the pink and grey paper plate in half with the pink being on the inside. 
9. Use craft glue to stick one of the grey sides onto the bottom half of the other grey plate to create a mouth.
10. Use craft glue to stick on the ears, nostrils, eyes and teeth.
11. Use the black kokie to draw dots around the nostrils.
